I don't know about *deep* cold, but I know I've shot a wooden bow in horizontal snow, and the bow suffered no reduction in power, nor did it shatter. Just don't ask about my fingers :(
That was a while ago, so I don't remember details. I'd guess that while the temperature was below freezing, it can't have been by much. This was Britain, after all.
