I don't know beyond what is mentioned scarcely in RQ and HW material. I suppose many of residents are Sorcerers.

What I can say is, Heroquest Rulebook doesn't support sorcerers, as an exception.

Sorcerers are different from Wizards (and doesn't belong to any Churches) and some are totally not Malkioni culturally (Orathorn, Thalurzni alchemist, etc) or renegades of their ancestral way (like Argin the Terror).

IIRC, one of them among the City sorcerers is good at turning intruders into frogs by sorcery, zap!
