The results of mucking about in the Green Age *cannot* be predicted. The Green Age is the "primordial soup" of Glorantha. Changing the merest fraction of the GA is going to have totally unforeseen consequences in the "present". You may come back to find out that some runes were never invented/manifested, or that there never was a sun, or the man rune is actually the Fish Rune and there never was Earth at all, just one deep, bottomless ocean.

Also, you will probably be taking on some primal characteristic- if you kill something in the GA, *you* become Death, the Death Bringer, or Grandfather Mortal and you have just enacted, *not* re-enacted, the First Death. Same for Love, Hate, Motion, Emotion, etc. If you do *anything* in the GA, it is the first time that thing has been done.
