Very true. And its a good idea to have a handle on what "normal life"
is like so that when it starts to get wierd, the heroes will have a
better idea of what's wierd... and how the world is coming apart at
the seams from the Hero Wars.
Letting your players write their own stuff can be wonderful (it
usually is) as long as you take it with a grain of salt...
Anyway, that's just my take on the matter.
