Teshnan Concentrators (was Re: Ahh! Assistance)

The thread I'm jumping onto here matches my questions pretty closely.

But as I've just gained a Teshan spy in my game, I think if anything I'm more confused than the person who cried for assistance.

Many Teshnan cults are mixed magic organizations, with a given cult offering (for example) Affinities and Talents or Affinities and Spells.

So, if a hero joins Besdi Solf Du, he can learn the Excess or Stealth Affinities, and a variety of useful talents that seem to come from the cult. But if he wants to devote to his god he must concentrate his magic, (something one would think the cult and god would favor) and then has to give up the very Talents that the cult taught him!

Or does he?

Personally, I think FOR TESHNANS the concentration must be on one or another type of cultic magic that gains the benefits of concentration--reduced cost, active use, etc. (Maybe not even the reduced cost.)
But I think teshnan devotees get to keep their cult-associated talents.

As Teshnan cults are written up, I don't see how the old saw about "beautiful women, weak warriors and powerful magicians" can be true. The teshnan spy in my game is going to constantly lag magically.

And how does someone teach a talent, anyway?

thoughts?
