Absolutely, but there is far more story hooks, and far more scope for
character motivation and sense of accomplishment, if the gap between
them is significant.
FWIW, in my 'class-conscious' view of the Heortlings, in many clans
there is still a remnat divide between the 'pure' core, and the Nalda
Bin or other "here you take care of these poor losers" folk, and
other remnant survivors who were absorbed in the dawn age. Class
usually has more to it than the size of your bank account or herd,
after all.
