Except that tricksters are often curiously persuasive....just by giving them the openning by letting them on the ring, you give them a chance to persuade everyone, and many of them will have the power or ability to do so. Maybe not with classic open debate, but they have their ways....as even many of the gods can tell of Eurmal. Have you never somehow found yourself agreeing to something that at some level you knew was stupid?
