Sounds like you had fun.
I have always found that the newbies take to HeroQuest faster and much better than the old RQers.

I have always used pre-generated heroes for my demo games at conventions and we do have some good games with them. However I do think that we miss out on one of HeroQuest's strengths which is the excellent character generation. I would be interested in seeing these cards of yours as would many on the Ring of HeroQuest Narrators website at: http://www.rhqn.com
