These ended up getting harmonized with things like 'um, how many cows would a bloodline _have_ to survive or prosper? And how many cows/bloodlines would a clan have? There is a writeup of an ABSOLUTELY average clan in TR. Oh, yeah, its about 1+ cow/steer per adult. 1 bull per stead.
