My quick take would be:
- You are living in the rubble of history (or myth, the two are
almost interchangeable in Glorantha....). That rubble is also the
foundation of the present. And oh yah, much of that rubble IS magic
(not magicAL, but magic).
- Everyone is constrained and enabled by their beliefs. Some
beliefs may give rise to more potent powers than others, but nobody
gets to min-max the universe as a whole (and we all no what happened
to those who tried). So when wondering what you could do to solve a
problem, or what opposition could do to you, the first question
is "what beliefs are involved"
- There is a full spectrum of greys. There may be a few shades so
dark as to be almost universally acknowledged as black (chaos,
kingdom of war), but everything is a matter of perspective, so no
player or hero can ever claim to be absolutely right, only right by
the lights of his or her beliefs.
