If anyone is interested, this is the URL for the archive of the Radio4 program "In Our Time".

To those not in the UK, this is a series of programs which each week picks an historical event/philosphical concept/cultural, sciencific or religious question and drags in a bevy of academics to cover it in some depth over the 45mins to program runs.

The presenter may be rather harrying and up his own a**e but the guests are usually spot on.

Points of interest may be the programs on: Thermopylae,
the Decline and Fall of trhe Roman Empire, Roman Britain after 400 years of Occupation, The Celts,
The Mughal Empire,
China the Warring States period
The Norse Gods......
