Hmmm, I saw Black Robe with my girlfriend, on New Years eve, right after seeing Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" Somehow almost all I can remember of it now was how depressing it was, and what a damper it put on the evening! I guess I should give it another chance, eh?
I do agree that it was incredibly well shot, however. I do recall being amazed at how well it captured the feel of the wilderness in this corner of the world.
