I'll bet that the clear borders marked on the maps have very little relationship to the facts on the ground. Even in the RW today national borders are very fluid things for the practical purposes of people living there except where governments put up barriers. Just because some pen-pusher in Glamour drew a line right through our village doesn't mean we take any notice of it. I'm not convinced even the Lunars are capable of particularly precise mapping. After all the British Ordanance Survey maps drawn up with great care in the 19th Century were fudged to get them to fit together and now with GPS that fudging is having to be corrected. Just a minor matter like moving a village a mile or so down the road.

Places like Sartar are even less clearly defined, field boundaries will be very clear and tula boundaries will mostly be marked although where wild land separates clans the boundary may be rather vague. Sartar though is defined by the clans which consider themselves part of it. On the edges will probably depend on the current opinion of the clan ring.
