I think someone said that Gloranthans don't have the maps we have. I think Thunder Rebels says that a good proportion of people in don't travel much further than the borders of their own tula. I think that may well go for most Gloranthans.

As for kings and rulers, I agree with the point and peoples thoery. For example - tribal king rules the lands of x clan, y clan, etc and the villages of a,b and c are part of the tribal 'estate'. The individual people will zero in on borders, even down to which apple tree they own. Barbarian Adventures details a traditional Heortling land legal action!
