Where are those much-needed, deep-diving, hunter-killer, arcticwarfare, sublacustrine durulz Humakti commando herocults? Just like Rock Hudson in 'Ice Station Zebra'. As a forgotten niche, they'd be perfect for this type of job, presuming it ain't all frozen.
They can splash about and wrestle large, rubber Delectian abominations in an ineffective manner, too.
