That is correct as confirmed by Scenario 7 in Borderlands.

A pass over the Rockwood Mountains in Dagori Inkarth? No. A entry into Giantland from Dagori Inkarth? Yes. The best known entry lies beyond Joh Mith's path in the lands of the Bee Tribe which leads into Door Mountain. From the name of the path one can traverse Giant Land to reach Goon Orta but it's not a pass in the geographical sense.
