Oh yeah! and How!
We had the Tarthcaer Disciple of Vinga Mastakos at Whitewall. I think I conveyed exactly to the players an almost aloofness from mortal affairs! Oh, and when the disciple told the Vingan player that she was off with the 100 Vingans with her, the player was dumb struck. A real fun moment for me as a narrator!
I think Disciples are great NPC's. Use 'em sparingly, but very effective when you bring them in.
