This is a HeroQuest list (and before that a HeroWars list). If you want a place where people sing the praises of RuneQuest and bash HeroQuest then please feel free to join (or set up) a RuneQuest list or even an HeroQuest-Haters list and get other like-minded people to join it.
In it's time, 17-25 years ago, I thought that RQ was brilliant. Now I think it is unplayably pseudo-simulationist and the rules based approach to religion (eg rune levels can order initiates around) was laughably inept (and still haunts us today).
In 20 years time, if I am still interested, maybe the RPG state of the art will have advanced to the point where I have analogous feelings about HeroQuest.
