Mikko, Mikko, Mikko, surely you've been around Glorantha long enough to know that the answer is "it depends". :-)

So the spelling got Gregged, it just means we need a valid explanation of why two spellings exist (not hard when societies are separated and don't communicate)

In this case, it just depends where in Glorantha you come from.

Perhaps the God Learners attempted to standardise the pronunciation at Malia (in keeping with the RQ2 God-Learner-style of writing, cf. the Godlearner standard set of Runes and cults), where other parts of Glorantha, less affected by the Godlearners use Mallia and always have .
