Assuming that "hells" are within the Underworld then it's clear there are several Underworlds or it's a generic term which includes all hells and darkness related places.

I'm basing that on the fact that Sheng Seleris is incarcerated in "a Lunar Hell" which implies there are religion specific hells and the Lunars have several. I seem to remember other refereces to plural hells as well.

The idea that Humakt created Darkness seems to me to be a human viewpoint. Trolls know that Darkness is the natural state of the underworld and obviously predates Humakt meddling with death in the Storm Age. Troll Humatki probably have a myth where Kyger Litor gave Humakt the power to use darkness to help him fix the problem he created.
