Ten cities. There are 3 left of the original 10.

The four that Peter mentions are famous (and non-small!) cities of modern day Dara Happa. I fear I have inadvertently confused the issue -- for which I appologize.

I am sorry. I should have been more clear. I was just struck by your 'best out of ten' comment. There were originally 10 great cities of the Dara Happans (LONG, LONG ago) along the Oslir valley before there was an Oslir river.

Jillaro is, I think, a Dara Happan style city built recently by the Lunars (I'd consider it a Lunar city considering the sheer magic used in its founding -- stuff like that always leaves a mark). I tend to consider a DH city one that is ruled by the Solar types and with the strong, retrictive DH caste system more-or-less in place.

Glamour is... Glamour. I think its unique. But the orgainization is probably very Dara Happan but it wouldn't have the hidebound and traditionalist laws, regulations and social-castes that are teh hallmark of the DH city-states. I'd think that many of the folks in Glamour went there to escape the oppressiveness of the DH cities -- sort of like Freedmen heading for London to avoid the feudal system (okay, its a bad analogy) or hicks moving to Rome.

Hope this helps, though I think it might not. =(
