It's funny, I was just thinking about that.

I would hesitate to go as far as suggesting that "she" might be a "he" - it just get too complicated. Other possibilities might include:

* merely a fashion choice,
* a marker that she prefers women or
* a remote descendant of the Helerings.

I have vague memories of a posting by Greg (several years ago) where he talked about the skin and hair colourings of Gloranthans (most Heortlings are brown skinned with orange hair, but he definitely mentioned red hair and, I think, blue hair and/or blue skin).
