Could be - see my earlier comments on my own incompetence at doing so in F2F. Though you people get more practise than I do...

That, I think, is a difference in preference. We don't exactly "insist" in the Swords campaign. More that we give the opportunity to do so. And the players do, whether there's a contest in the offing or not! Personally when I was playing not GMing I had a rule of thumb that if my post went over 1000 words, I'd put an RTF version in the Files area as well - easier to read. We write descriptions because that's what we're there for - that's what the game's all about.

(nods) Of course, unless you're running a voice recorder, it's a choice between writing down what others are saying and saying summat yourself. Needs a *very* good memory to do Chronicles otherwise. I remember trying to do just that in college (sorry, this was 20 years ago, I can't supply details now, can't even find the Chronicles).

Yes, I can see that limiting your detail a *lot*. Swords, having been running since Storm Tribe came out, has so far covered (I think) about eight weeks of Gloranthan time.
