One option is that the players are approached to by an ambassador/trader from Esrolia, seeking their unique talents. She could use them to travel around as an advisory escort as they explore Dragon Pass, seeking trade opportunities. Alternatively have the trader come to Apple Lane seeking to replace Gringle Goodsell's pawnshop with one of her own. The woman's strong character, conflict with local males and list of jobs and errands would be great for introductory scenarios. Later she could seek to use her friends to go to the big cities with her. If the NPC becomes to much of a burden, have her killed and get the players to resolve the mystery of her death, perhaps they inherit her building in her will, maybe the lunars get involved etc.
