It is exactly this kind of novel creative synergy that really makes being subscribed to this list a joy at times. Would that there were more great little tidbits like this, and fewer of the long, drawn-out debates over minutiae which characterize the worst examples of Glorantha fandom. I often find myself wishing for a moderated email list in which the content control alleviates the often-overwhelming noise of "everyone getting their licks in".

The Blue Room list was such, a fabulous source of enlightening, amazing and gamable tidbits of lore about M.A.R. Barker's Tekumel. Its only flaw was its irregularity, as email crossed the internet from the posters to the moderator, then on to Professor Barker for any comment he might make, then back to the moderator before heading out to the list. Despite this time lag and the amount of time the moderator required to collate posts, which could often run a fortnight or more, the list remained extremely popular.

Perhaps Issaries needs an official HERO WARS mailing list, so a lot of the speculation, like that recently found in the "How do Edges and Handicaps work?" thread on the HW-Rules mailing list, would occur less often. Having a dedicated Net Representative would make promotion and of HERO WARS that much easier. Nils Weinander and David Dunham
