So, Mike, how'd you handle representing this in the rules? I feel like Aang isn't as flexible an airbender as, say, Toph or Bhumi are with earth; the rock candy rings and Toph's earth-sight (and, for that matter, Iroh's lightning technique) are sharply tangential in a way that we don't see with his air.

So based on that, maybe there's some central theme on which a bender can riff (to a limited extent), and past that, becoming a 'devotee' or something... takes the locks off?

It also occurs to me that there might be a significant difference between the bending animals and human benders; the animals just sorta /do/ bending, but with humans, it's linked to kung fu.
