I'm no expert on Gloranthan myth but I'm guessing the dragon slaying took place in the Storm Age: the spike has gone by then? It would be south south east of Dragon Pass, as I understand it stood where Magasta's pool is today, in the center of the ocean?
I may well be wrong on both counts, but i'm sure the experts can help!
