Based on playing a demo and skimming the rules I have to say that I found nothing really compelling that I would insist on playing MRQ but nothing so bad that I would insist on an earlier edition. The addition of Hero Points does give player characters more of a chance to survive but nothing else really stood out for me.

If you're happily playing RQ2 and 3 I'd say that you should wait for the Companion because that is going to be needed to play in Glorantha. Maybe it will have something to tip the balance one way or the other.
