I reckon it would be a disaster. There are many reasons but the main one is that by putting everything in the hands of a single webmaster using a single server under a single domain creates too many single points of failure. At present if a server falls over or a webmaster/listmaster is sick or someone screws up the domain registration there are plenty of alternatives for communication while the problem is fixed.

What would be nice is if there were two websites which had links to all the groups you mention, and the others you don't. Then it would be possible to find the ones you want as and when. The second site being a backup in case the first fell over or wasn't being updated.
