Pembo Pembo, the cliff-sculpting giant ape, is also a mystic. Gods will stop to be heard (or will stop to speak?) near him, and spirits will flee.

Hum, tempting (wihout pun). This mystic could be under a waterfall,
reminiscent of Shiva meditating under Ganga, and skyclad and covered in
ashes.
But, right now, I'm trying to introduce NPCs only in limited numbers
(and to dump many roles on one NPC) and only if I can attach them
strongly to a 'campaign theme' or a player character. The game is...,
say, about 'religious obligation against political needs against
personal life'. But then, it's almost hardwired into the HeroQuest rules
;) And 'Social order, personal freedom, what will you do?', somewhat linked.
Dormal IMG has been imbued by the power of Opening. Opening not only the
seas, but societies, breaking laws, getting worlds apart to touch, etc.
No barrier will stay. A true embodiement of the Hero Wars! He is a blade
cutting through the world.
My players are beginning to see him as a sort of live nuclear weapon,
sought by half the world for magical reasons and dangerous to all. And
well they should :)
So, the one mystic I plan to introduce a bit later is a small boy from the rightarm Islands (in Kethaela) the players encountered a few times already in another game and who is the reincarnation of a great sage. Keets looked for him for many years and were astonished to find him so far from home. Now, they're bringing him back to Vithela.

Ohh! I may steal this one. I have an agreement from most of my players
to present their characters with possible lovers.
And I give Heropoints when they accept it :)

My fave in this game right now is the main 'villain', a crazy Kralorelan
sect, bent on giving power to the people and getting rid of the divine
order which governs Kralorela. They are all misfits and transgressors :
magically, sexually, etc. No more mister rice guy (sorry)!
Some kind of weird fusion between communist, transhumanist and
ultra-liberal ideas.
And, Santo, you gave me many to think about concerning dream magic. Thanks!
