So that's the bigger meaning of that scenario. Is it mentioned in Gathering Thunder when the food is being retrieved?.....No!

I doubt that'll be enough but it's part. Barntar has the secret of "Plough any Field" so some fields will be ploughed before Voria's return. I wonder how easy it is for someone to switch from Orlanthcarl to Barntar. Very similar magic and identical secret but as Barntar isn't Orlanth his magic should still work. Same applies to Asrelia/Ty Kora Tek, she isn't Ernalda so her magic will continue to work. Not that she'd tell anyone, they don't need to know.

However the narrator does need to know in case the PCs aren't the typical bunch of warriors.
