I wasn't refering to the enchantment of metals which I agree will be rare. More the normal working of them. You don't need weapon strength copper to make a dish but you do need metalworking skills. Same with gold and silver jewelry. In the real world there are several overlapping skillsets from the blacksmith to the jeweler but I doubt the clans can support that level of specialisation.
