Let's show rather than tell (was Re: Preparing for play, how I do it)

Yes, I've also thought that this would be a fascinating region in which to play. The Janube river city states have such a dynamic environment, without the single overwhelming theme that dominates some of the other areas. There is the fact that they are recovering economically/population-wise, as the ban lifts and trade resumes. But at the same time each group had time to sink more deeply into its own ways, and now, being trading cities, they have to interact with each other. Throw in the two strong religious poles of the Lunar way and the Hrestoli religion, versus all the local variants and more unique paths, the military/political threats of the larger polities around them, the uncertainty of what may yet come out of Charg....it is a natural for factions, plots, shifting alliances, and drama.

But I'd like to see the Rathoria fleshed out some too. The Hsunchen have not generally been presented from an insider perspective, with all the subtle variations, distincitions, and disagreements that shows.
