I know there's no "hard and fast" rule on bringing Hero Wars abilitiy
scores in line with the HeroQuest rules, but I thought it might be
useful to conduct a sort of 'survey' to see what various folks do. A
vaveat first, I know there are several folks who just throw out the
published scores and do their own thing, and that's fine. But for
purposes of discussion I'd like to know what those of you who *do*
used published sources as a starting point do to 'retro-fit' things.
So if you were taking an ability score out of Barbarian Adventures,
for example, to use in a HeroQuest game, how would you modify the
score to account for the 'devaluation' of masteries in HQ?
What I do is take the "average" augment my PCs are chucking about, say
+14, and scale everything up by half. So if a resistance is 5w in the
book, I'd call it a 12w for HQ purposes.
