No it doesn't. It comes as standard for ordinates of the Seven Mothers cult and pretty much expected for everyone at the ordinate level in Lunar cults although I can't see some (e.g. Danfive Xaron) bothering. There are still lots of people in the Empire who follow other pantheons and Greg has said several times that routine initiation of all adults is unusual. I'd suggest that one of the big things the 7M cult offers to get followers is "The secrets which your rulers are hiding from you in the written word".

I don't think the details of that incident are well known in Glorantha but a competent priestess is going to know how well her grain is going to do in various conditions. The objections may seem like a reluctance to try something new to Kallyr but are probably soundly based.

Not really thought about that. Could be an Esrolian sent by the Grandmothers to run the whole thing. Or a Sartarite who Kallyr doesn't like. Or a Tarshite who really thinks she can do it but needs support. Or all three. Maybe Kallyr has called on the PCs because she doesn't trust the motives or the abilities of the alternatives.

We could set this up for Continuum - you play Kallyr and we find a few other people to play other roles. Need a bit of scripting beforehand but could be fun.

I'm not sure about that, Ernaldans usually switch from Voria to Ernalda and then Asrelia. There's an implication in TR that many healers change to the Allmother aspect when they marry but that may only be low level initiates. It's probably a matter of learning time - building up your ability level in a new aspect is going to be a long job.

I've not got a feel for modifiers and it probably varies between groups. But I think I'd go for -20, it's pretty much at the extreme of suitability. A priestess of Esra using oats is probably -10. Heck if Ernaldesta gets as little as -10 then a priest of Orlanthcarl would be able to try at -20.
