Hello

I like the HQ 2.0 rules, because they are only guidelines, not rules. I dont know if i will simplify my HeroQuest game so much to only use HQ2. It is more likely that i will use HQ2 to upgrade my HQ1 game... so i will play HQ1.5 or so (that seems not uncommon in glorantha gaming; a lot of people have played a mix of RQ2 and 3 or RQ3 and MRQ before). ;-)

But even if i will not use ALL of the HQ2 ideas, i have to salute Robin Laws... again. This book is a masterpiece!

I LOVE the Sartar book!
I am not sure if there is EVERYTHING in it from previeous Orlanthi sources that was important, but i dont miss anything. I am SO in for the simplified cults and runes! I cant wait to see the final layouted and illustrated edition of this book!

One strange thing that came into my mind while skimming again through some chapters of HeroQuest 2.0 and Sartar book.

Now with only the main Orlanthi gods in the setting books, and almost no important mention of the subcult names, with going back to the basic set of runes which we all know from RQ 2 and 3, and seeing that a lot of the ritual texts made it back into the setting book, it seems to me that "The Widows Tale" and "Eurhols Vale & Other Tales" are more up to date than ever. :-)

Cheers

Andr
