While this might be redundant, its always unwise to take a 20 year old article as gospel. Our understanding of how the world works has evolved. Look at the comments about Apple Lane earlier.

I would point out that the Waha heroquest is very much a c"oming of age" or initiation quest -- the shaman does not go as the warriors are doing this quest to PROVE themselves. In the end, a warrior is much more expendible than a shaman, especially an experienced one.
