IMHO the sometimes silly and bizarre features of Glorantha make it
more believable. After all, in the RW the most powerful military
force in the 20th century was commanded by an ex-actor who joked on
the radio that he had "outlawed Russia, we begin bombing in 5
seconds". And then of course there's the whole Clinton farce.
Meanwhile, and on a lighter note, in Japan we have a soft drink
named "Pocari Sweat", caffeine-fortified gum called "Super Brain
Panic", and vending machines that sell used underwear. Who edited
this supplement?! A Lunar tourists cult sound positively tame in
comparison. =)
