The Hindu connection is pretty strong on the cover of the old Gods of Glorantha--our goddess of the Reaching Moon is a very Kali-like figure. Hinduism is also incredibly rich and all-inclusive, with an enormous amount of gods at all levels of life, and embracing extremes of asceticism and hedonism. Buddhism comes to mind when looking at the Lunar mystical tendency, eg "We are all us"; "She Who Waits"; "The world is sick and must be healed". Buddhism grew out of Hinduism as, perhaps, the Lunar religion grew out of the Dara Happan. A kind of reforming movement, one which formed the basis of at least one empire.

Is anyone doing work on the Taraltarans? I am trying to write them up so as to differentiate them from Kralori mystics, and have been finding inspiration in the Persian sufis. I've been staying away from oriental models (Taoism, Zen etc), as I imagine that these will be required for Kralorela if and when Issaries ever does a sourcebook. So I'd like to know if there is any more about them around.
