And it gets all the hot-heads out of the Capital, down to the Frontlines where they can do some good, rather swagger around Glamour getting into trouble or feuds.

If a bunch of them get killed along the way, even better -- they were probably stupid or unlucky. Perhaps their younger brothers will do better (or, if you sent your younger brother off to wary, perhaps he won't be plotting against you for YOUR titles)

The war serves more than one purpose for the Lunars afterall.
