Aranwyth origins

As a matter of fact, the Aranwyth intrigue me. From where do they originate?

I assume that they came from the south, like the rest of the Quivini. Are there other Elmal worshipping, semi-nomadic Heortlings somewhere in the Holy country, that they descend from? Or did they take up these practices later, when arriving in Dragon Pass?

Speculations are welcome. As are True Knowledge!
