Possibly true - but it certainly means you are motivated tyo visit your neighbours. This is not a society with easy transport - people need motivationb to treck across hill and dale, and manufacturing silly reason to wander ofver to the next clan, or the clan-over-the-hill out of lust is a very useful technique for establishing inter-community bonds. There will also be some trade traffic, some god-talkers etc, but romance provides a good driver to get people out and about and talking to the neighbours.
