Loskalmi who want to become atheist sorcerers study at the University of Sog City, and keep quiet about these heretical and arguably blasphemous studies when they return to Loskalm.
A Loskalmi sorcerer would be like one of the quasi-mediaeval mages from games like "Ars Magica" or "Chivalry and Sorcery", fearing persecution by the Church (i.e. the Hrestoli Idealist Church) if he steps out of line when manifesting his powers, but nevertheless valuable to nobles and commoners alike as a source of "extra-social" magic.
