Belief in the supernatural is not mutually exclusive with being an athiest. Many people believe (in this world) that the 'supernatural' is open to rationale explaination, just that in many cases we don't know the explaination. However, believing everything is part of nature and not subject to some obscure higher power is part of the normal definition of atheist. In Glorantha, where the supernatural is manifestly, observably part of nature, the argument is stronger = Gloranthan atheist believe there are beings called 'gods' they simply do not believe they are divine, any more than they believe that powerful sorcerors are divine.

To my mind, saying Brithini can't be atheists because they believe in the Invisible God as a creator, is akin to saying a cosmologist can't be an atheist because he believes in the big bang. (I REALLY don't want to get into how many cosmologists do or don't believe - its just an example.)

Also to my mind, this is getting wildly off topic. Take it to the Digest/e-mail/bin?

Cheers,
Graham
