I was thinking that the Brithini Farmer and Soldier castes would participate in something that in game terms mimics the congregation/liturgist relationship -- passing "communal energy" to a magical specialist to disburse. Is this not the case?

Isn't tapping sort of fatal? Or, if not fatal, at least weakening? If you're draining your Farmers of their health and vigor, what good is their immortality? Or are there two sorts of Tapping, one like the classic RQ version, and a kinder, gentler tapping that serves the communal needs of the Brithini?
