Good point about the food and weather. I can imagine that Sartari rate the severity of the winter by when they started in on the emergency rations (we were eating hardtack and pemican 4 weeks into Dark Season....)

So does anyone have a sense of how the Heortlings (and Orlanthi in general) think about purity? It's obviously a big part of Solar Culture, but I don't see it as part of Storm.

Obviously, Heortlings perform various rites and rituals to prepare for ceremonies, and these probably involve some sort of cleansing. They also have a tradition that includes "polluting crimes" -- the ones that call for death in TR -- and maybe some of the Outlawry crimes. There are some religious prohibitions (Humakti not sitting by a pregnant woman). Would they see fasting before a ceremony as a good thing or just what happens if you're low on food? Most of their sense of pollution is Mistakes that Can't Be Fixed -- kinslaying, consorting with chaos -- that focuses the wrath of the gods on the clan if they don't deal with the perp; the perp doesn't have the option of doing the Orlanthi thing and fixing what's wrong. Any thoughts on this?
