The EWF and the God Learners are good sources for all sorts of bizarre looking magical geegaws that look impressive but don't have much relevance anymore. Or alternately magical relics that are now used for purposes other than they were intended for. Take the example of Ingeborg Bollison who wields the dreaded Bladed Mace of the Lost Dragons. This is a four foot rod that when a button is pushed horrible looking blades pop out and whir about. He uses this to good effect in beating people to death. Of course the EWF used it to shave the body hair off of people so they looked more reptilian but how's Ingeborg supposed to know that? Ingeborg just hasn't noticed that the corpses he leaves behind always have a real close shave. Silly bugger.
