This is a revision of a song I wrote quite some time ago.

A Danfive Xaron Punishment Legion Marching Song

Sons of toil and danger,
Kill another stranger
In the center of the line.

Sons of sin and sorrow,
Breathe your last tomorrow
In the center of the line.

Forward! Forward!
Marching to the Grave!
You're not free
'Till you know you're a slave!

Sons of hate and stealing,
Send the bastards reeling
>From the center of the line.

Sons of doom unsated,
Smash the Empire's Hated
>From the center of the line.

Onward! Onward!
Swords upon their throat!
Ev'ry man here
Is a burning goat!

Sons of no-one's daughter,
*Leap* into the slaughter!
To the center of the line!!

Danfive Xaron legions are usually not permitted to march to any sort of music, which means that they review in stark contrast to the horns, harps, and drums of other Lunar military units. However, if a particular legion has distinguished itself in courage and loyalty, it is permitted to sing this song while marching in review. The term "singing Danfive" is synonymous with "incredible badass" in parts of the Lunar military.

nb: The "burning goat" verse is, of course, a reference to a common method of sacrifice, wherein an animal's throat is slit and then the body (or parts, thereof) burnt for the gods. Danfive Xaron are taught that their enemies are to be considered potential sacrifices to the Goddess and are immediately forgiven for and redeemed of their opposition to the Lunar Way if slain in battle by a Punishment Legionnaire, and that they, themselves, if slain in battle, have likewise been sacrificed and redeemed. Whenever possible, they insist that their funeral pyres include their "death brothers"--those among the enemy who have joined them in death and redemption.
