Someone probably remembered this poem :

Quiverberry Pie, quiverberry pie,
If I don't get some I think I'm going to cry Take away the green grass, take away the sky, But don't take away my quiverberry pie

Quiverberry stew, quiverberry stew,
If I don't get some I don't know what I'll do, Take away my furry hat, take away my shoe, But don't take away my quiverberry stew

Quiverberry cake, quiverberry cake,
If I don't get some I think I'll start to shake, Take away the guinea pigs, take away the snake, But don't take away my quiverberry cake

Quiverberry soup, quiverberry soup,
If I don't get some I think I'll start to droop, Take away my basketball, take away my hoop, But don't take away my quiverberry soup!!

With all apologies to Dennis Lee the original author of course.

Thanks for the praise, Oliver!

Any of those ways could be a valid way of finding the lost recipe, but I think that the original recipe was probably passed from mother to daughter by word of mouth until one mother died without teaching her daughter. Perhaps a minor heroquest (Ernalda Finds the Recipe, perhaps?) was involved to recover the secret, in this, the clan's time of great crisis.
