Isn't the point that the lunars have "killed/chained/removed" Orlanth and replaced him with Molani, or some other god(des) of still air, hence no winds. While they may have likewise "killed/chained/removed" Ernalda, they will have replaced her with Hon-Eel, Dendara or some other Lunar-friendly Earth/Crop Goddess so those willing to switch their worship will not starve to death even if all the normal Ernaldan Crops fail...
